S3 improvements for CORS and private downloads

Published 1 min read

Third-party tools can manage CORS through standard APIs. Presigned download parameters are improved, and the 10 GiB object limit is documented.

Integration and downloads

  • Third-party apps can read, write and delete bucket CORS rules through S3. The console displays the same rules.
  • Improved presigned access and standard download parameters, including response filenames.
  • S3 objects support up to 10 GiB using multipart upload for large files. Single PUT requests and parts have separate limits.

How to use it

For existing integrations, check the current Endpoint, bucket identifier and key permissions. Automatic CORS setup requires write access, and private files still need valid signatures. See the S3 guide for parameters and examples.
