VOS Object Storage
Manage uploads and transfer tasks
Track destination buckets, folders and task status, and follow prompts to resume interrupted transfers.
Confirm the destination
Check the bucket and folder before uploading and retain the original local file. Refreshing cannot automatically restore local file-read permission, so resuming may require selecting the original file again.
Find tasks and handle results
- Open the upload dialog from Files in the bucket. Confirm its fixed destination bucket and folder, then select local files and start uploading.
- Go to Object storage VOS → Transfer tasks. Filter by status and verify the bucket and folder to identify the correct task.
- Review the error for failed or interrupted tasks. To resume, select the original file; a different file with the same name is not a valid substitute.
- Cancel tasks you no longer need. Before switching products, wait for active uploads to finish or cancel them.
- After completion, return to the recorded bucket and folder, refresh, and verify the name, size and downloaded content.
Handle each task state
| Task state | Next step | What it does not prove |
|---|---|---|
| Uploading | Keep the page and network available; monitor progress | Increasing progress does not mean the entire file is saved |
| Failed or interrupted | Review the cause and select the original file to resume when supported | Refreshing does not guarantee restored local file permissions |
| Completed | Verify the file in its destination folder | Completion does not make the file public |
| Missing from the destination folder | Clear search filters and reopen the recorded bucket and folder | Do not immediately upload another copy elsewhere |
Confirm completion, not just submission
Check both the task's completed state and the file list. Download the test file and compare size or checksum. For app media, also check the page that references it.
Product switching blocked or resume failed
If Files are uploading appears, wait in Transfer tasks or cancel the task before switching products. Closing the browser interrupts the upload.
For a failed resume, verify the file content, account, bucket and folder against the original task, then address the reported network, capacity or expiry issue. If it cannot resume, confirm the original task's result before uploading again.
Requirements for resuming
Resuming depends on task state and retained server data. Choosing another same-named file cannot guarantee recovery. Local file permissions, network changes and expired tasks can affect resumption; follow the actual error.
